If this sounds exciting to you, then join the Amazon Physical Stores Employee Relations team! Physical Stores is seeking an individual who has significant employee and labor relations experience, deep subject matter knowledge, and strong communication and interpersonal skills that enables him or her to work successfully and independently on a broad spectrum of employee and labor relations issues and projects. In this role, you will lead proactive programs that support Amazon’s employee relations values in the Physical Stores teams.
To be successful in this role, you lead several proactive initiatives to support our commitment of creating a positive, fair and respectful working environment. Your responsibilities will include:
· Lead large scale projects that improve the associate experience
· Partner and influence senior leaders when necessary to ensure a positive associate experience
· Partner with senior leaders and HR teams to create and sustain positive employee relations programs and best practices tailored to business needs
· Design and conduct multiple positive labor relations trainings and communications
· Design, collect, and analyze multiple levels of associate feedback
· Conduct employee relations and vulnerability assessment programs
· Partner to engage in continuous improvement in communication vehicles and practices
· Analyze, diagnose, design, and revise people programs, policies, and practices to sustain positive employee relations across multiple business formats

You will also work reactively on critical employee relations issues that are crisis-oriented and typically can only be successfully completed with limited time. Balancing time between projects and crisis-response is a critical component for success in the position. This role will provide support to end-to-end response efforts as necessary to reactively solve critical employee relations issues for sites, with particular focus on high risklocations. Travel up to 20% of the time as needed.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· At least seven years direct experience in employee relations, labor relations, or labor/employment law with an emphasis on labor and employee relations work
· Experience in Retail, Grocery; experience in unionized environments a significant plus
· Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree, JD, or other specialized training in labor/employee relations a significant plus
· Solid understanding of federal and state employment & labor laws
· Experience in designing and delivering successful training programs
· Technically proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access, & PowerPoint

· Strong interpersonal and persuasion skills, enabling individual to establish partnerships working with senior leaders and across organizational lines
